For the new Super Record™ 12 Speed chain, a complete redesign was necessary to ensure compatibility with the updated transmission components. As a result, the primary goal focused on reducing its overall dimensions, now measuring 5.15 millimetres in width due to the alignment of new pins with the outer surfaces of the links.
Another key objective was to uphold its performance standards. This was accomplished through the implementation of the Ultra-link system, ensuring the chain's durability and safety, along with a specialized treatment that guarantees exceptionally smooth and precise shifting.
