However, it is important to note that older, non-tubeless-ready rims cannot be converted with just Stan’s Yellow Rim Tape. To achieve a secure tubeless setup, an additional Stan’s NoTubes Rim Strip (now discontinued) is required. We highly recommend considering a new tubeless-ready wheelset instead, but Stan’s Rim Strips and kits may still be available at local bike shops for converting vintage bikes with non-tubeless-ready rims. Please be aware that using only Yellow Rim Tape and Stan’s NoTubes sealant on a non-tubeless-ready rim may result in difficult inflation and potential \"burping\" problems.
