Don’t Forget To Protect Your Head

Helmets are essential, as they offer protection against head injury in the event of a crash. If a bike helmet is not worn properly or stands the test of time, it can be rendered ineffective and even result in death.

Give yourself a head start. Helmets fit snugly and comfortably too, so you won’t even know you’re wearing one—but your loved ones will know that you are!

The 661 Comp Helmet is designed for the rider who wants a lightweight, comfortable helmet with great ventilation and protection. The helmet has many large vents in the front and top with internal channeling that allow cold air to come in from the front and warm air to exhaust through channels located on either side of the chin bar.

The helmet's shell is made from polycarbonate which makes it lightweight and easy to adjust for a comfortable fit. The 661 Comp Helmet is a great all-around helmet that’s as burly and tough as you are on a bike, at the ski resort, or deep in the backcountry.

With a Large eye port for great vision and accommodating goggles, this hardshell construction gives you top-notch protection and impressive style. Frequently Asked Questions

What are knee and elbow pads used for?

Knee and elbow pads protect the bony extremities of your arms and legs' joints. Both of these types of pads protect against impact, which can break bones, as well as sand, rocks, and gravel, which can cause burns, scrapes, and other lacerations.

Why do people wear elbow pads?

Elbow pads are padded protective gear worn on the elbows to protect them from injury during a fall or strike.

How long do knee pads last?

Knee pads should typically last for an entire season. Thicker knee pads will wear out faster, whereas thinner knee pads have less to wear down, and certain brands naturally produce thinner pads.

Does wearing a helmet really help?

According to a US study, helmets reduce the risk of severe traumatic brain injury by half when riders sustain a brain injury. The study, published in the American Journal of Surgery, also found that helmet-wearing riders were 44% less likely to die from their injuries and 31% less likely to break facial bones.

What percentage of cyclists wear helmets?

Only half of all cyclists in the United States regularly wear a helmet. Of the 50 percent of cyclists who said they regularly wore a helmet, 43 percent said they always wore one, and 7 percent said they wore head protection more than half the time.

Is it illegal to cycle without a helmet?

Wearing a helmet is not required by law. However, there are consequences for not wearing a helmet. If you are cycling and are injured due to the negligence of another person, you may be able to seek compensation.
