Maintain optimal performance of your Avid brakes by regularly inspecting the pads and replacing them as needed. Organic compound pads offer quieter braking and enhanced modulation due to their softer material, while metallic pads provide superior heat dissipation and longer durability. Each set includes two pads, a retraction spring, and a mounting bolt—sufficient for one brake. For weight-conscious riders, an aluminum backing plate option is available to reduce overall weight.
