Optimised for Speed

The wheel's 80 mm profile was chosen after in-depth studies and careful calculations to ensure the best balance of weight, aerodynamic efficiency and simple wheel steering.  The brand new aero spokes with internal nipples reduce aerodynamic resistance while ceramic CULT bearings reduce friction to a minimum.

The hub body in carbon with its unusual design is firmly fixed to an aluminium flange and the seats of the integrated spokes ensure perfect alignment. Like all Bora Ultra wheels, there are no drilled holes in the rim bed, making tubeless tires easy to fit and hugely increasing rim stiffness and integrity. The Bora Ultra WTO 80 is the new benchmark for high-profile wheels suitable for time trials and high-speed stages.

Hand-Crafted Carbon

Constructed with Campagnolo’s Hand Made Ultra-light carbon (H.U.L.C.), the rims feature a mirror-like Campagnolo Luxury (C-LUX) finish and 2-Way Fit rim beds with no drilled holes, ensuring perfect tire compatibility without the need for rim-tape.

The Smoothest Ride

The Bora Ultra WTO 80 2-Way Fit rim meets ETRTO tubeless standard for fitting tubeless tires and is also suitable for tubeless-ready and clincher tires. Wider tires on wider rims increase the inner air volume and, above all with tubeless tires, they can happily be used at lower pressures, improving adherence, control and comfort and reducing effort without affecting speed, while Campagnolo’s exclusive G3 spoke pattern improves torque transfer.

Aerodynamic Details

The hub bodies of these wheels are slimmer in the centre to reduce the frontal area they present to the wind. The 21 double-butted Aero Elliptical spokes in each wheel have reduced from 1.6mm to 1.5mm in diameter. New Aero Mo-Mag nipples are hidden inside the rim to clean up the airflow over them and are still easily adjustable. 

All of the new Bora Ultra WTO wheels are designed for AFS (centerlock compatible) disc rotors. Campagnolo’s unique G3 spoke system counteracts the main source of torque at each hub, while CULT ceramic bearings keep the Bora Ultra WTO hubs spinning freely for 5 ½ times longer than standard steel bearings.

Perfect Alignment

Campagnolo moulds the nipple and valve holes into the rims, so no carbon fibres are cut by drilling. Each spoke hole has an internal nipple seat, wrapped into the rim’s carbon layup, which is specifically aligned to the intended hub. Aero Mo-Mag nipples are perfectly aligned with each spoke for a more accurate wheel build, with reduced localised stress and improved fatigue life.
