Cane Creek’s VALT Light Progressive Rate Springs enhance shock performance by significantly reducing weight compared to standard steel springs. These springs deliver the coil shock benefits riders expect, without the added mass. Engineered for a true progressive rise-in-rate curve, they offer the sensitivity and simplicity of traditional coil setups while providing the progressive ramp-up needed for aggressive riding and demanding frame designs. The progression starts halfway through the spring’s stroke, ensuring optimal performance throughout.
The graph below illustrates the variation in spring progressiveness between the standard VALT spring and the Progressive-Rate VALT spring. The rate increases correspond proportionally to a DB Kitsuma Air air spring equipped with one volume spacer.
