Castelli collaborated with professional riders to develop a superior seamless arm warmer, aiming to surpass existing options made from a nylon/Lycra® blend known for moisture retention. Recognizing the potential for improved moisture management with polyester yarn, Castelli embarked on the challenging task of perfecting stretch, return, and manufacturing consistency with this material.
Despite encountering obstacles in working with polyester, including difficulties in achieving the desired properties, Castelli persevered for an additional year to refine the design. The result? Arm warmers favoured by pro riders for their remarkable lightweight construction and exceptional warmth-to-weight ratio. Even in moderate temperatures, they provide effective insulation without causing overheating.
Remarkably stretchy and barely perceptible when worn, these warmers offer unparalleled comfort. Furthermore, they pack down to a fraction of the size of traditional warmers, making them an ideal choice for cyclists seeking compact and efficient gear solutions.
