The Bonsai is crafted entirely from 100% grade A Northern European birch, using genuine solid wood rather than layered or laminated alternatives. Sustainably sourced for lasting durability, birch offers an exceptional strength-to-weight ratio, making the bike easier for young children to handle without risk of tipping. Its smooth, knot-free grain ensures a splinter-resistant surface, combining safety with refined aesthetics.

Led by Tom Ritchey, a pioneer in mountain biking innovation, this collaboration has spanned over a decade, resulting in premium, kid-specific components that enhance both functionality and style.

The Bonsai features top-tier aluminium rims and hubs designed to reduce weight, paired with high-precision ABEC-grade sealed cartridge bearings to lower both weight and rolling resistance. By utilizing such advanced wheel components, we can afford to equip safety-focused, high-performance tyres that enhance ride quality without increasing overall weight.
