The 12” balance bike is built for swift and secure skill development. Featuring wide 2.0” tires, a low-profile aluminum frame, and internal cable routing for optional brake upgrades (brake kit sold separately), the Charger fuels young riders’ adventurous spirit. All Australian Charger models include a rear brake as standard.

The Charger is expertly crafted from 6061-grade aluminium, extending beyond visible components by replacing more steel and plastic with aluminium than any other brand. Known for its exceptional strength-to-weight ratio, corrosion resistance, and flexible ride quality, aluminium enhances performance and comfort. Fully recyclable, this material choice ensures that the Charger and Big Foot models offer superior durability and eco-friendly value for kids and future generations alike.

Roll model

The Charger features industry-leading aluminium rims and hubs to reduce weight, paired with high-quality ABEC-grade sealed cartridge bearings that decrease rolling resistance. By prioritizing premium wheel components, we are able to equip the bike with tires that deliver superior safety and performance without adding unnecessary weight.

Tread carefully

Equipped with fast-rolling 2.0” wide tires, the Charger provides 2-4 year olds with the stability essential for learning, ample air volume for a comfortable ride, and reliable traction to confidently navigate varied terrain—even in wet conditions. After all, there’s no such thing as bad weather, only an unsuitable bike.

Designed to ride, built to upgrade

The Charger is equipped with an anatomically shaped Ritchey handlebar and stem combination, forged from ultra-lightweight yet incredibly strong aluminium. Its internal cable routing is more than aesthetic—it enables easy upgrades to a brake-equipped bike as your child advances. The Tektro rear brake upgrade kit, sold separately, provides light-pull, short-reach braking for precise control when needed. With over 50 years of innovation, Ritchey Logic, led by mountain biking pioneer Tom Ritchey, has partnered with us for over a decade to develop specialized components that enhance our kids’ bikes.
