The Hellion X20 is a 20” full suspension trail bike designed for 6-8 year olds, excelling on dirt jumps, single tracks, and junior circuits. It features a high-end specification typically sought after by older riders, delivering impressive performance for its size. This bike is engineered to handle tough terrain with ease, offering young riders a serious ride without compromise.

Meet the Hellion X20

The Hellion X20 features a full-suspension design with a triple-butted mono-link aluminium frame and a CNC-machined chainstay yoke, engineered to maximize strength while minimizing weight. Equipped with a 95mm DNM rear shock and fully adjustable 100mm RST Spex front forks, it effectively absorbs trail impacts. Its long, low, and slack geometry promotes stability, speed, and maneuverability. The bike also includes a narrow-wide chainring, forged cranks, and a SRAM GX 1x10 drivetrain for efficient pedaling and secure chain retention. Shimano Deore MT500 brakes and tubeless-ready wheels fitted with 2.25" Crown Rubber Vee Gem tires provide dependable stopping power and durability.

A race optimised full suspension aluminium frame

Designed for high performance, the Hellion X20 incorporates a triple-butted dual suspension mono-link frame with a CNC-machined chainstay yoke, expertly built to withstand significant impacts. Its 95mm DNM rear shock works seamlessly with the 100mm front suspension to provide outstanding trail absorption, smoothing out roots, rocks, and drops. The frame tubing is carefully engineered to combine strength where needed with lightweight construction, optimizing both durability and speed. Threaded thru axles enhance frame rigidity, while sliding dropouts allow for adjustable handling and sizing as young riders develop. Additionally, a cable guide is included to accommodate an external dropper post, supporting continued progression.

Long, low and slack

The Hellion X20 is engineered for performance, featuring geometry tailored for speed, technical skill, and confidence on challenging terrain. Its low center of gravity enhances stability in berms, while a slack head tube angle helps smooth out descents. Short seat stays contribute to a lively, responsive ride, making maneuvers like manuals more accessible for young riders.

A no fuss, full gas chainset

The Hellion X20’s crankset and single-ring configuration deliver an exceptional balance of performance, safety, and pedaling efficiency rarely found in bikes of this size. Its narrow-wide chainring prevents chain drop, pairing effectively with forged aluminium direct-mount cranks to ensure optimal power transfer when it counts.

Anatomically designed cockpit

The Ritchey Jr cockpit is ergonomically crafted to support skill development and enhance control, ensuring precise and confident steering. Lock-on grips provide secure handling even in wet and muddy conditions. The Hellion X20 also features an SDG Fly Junior saddle and SDG Slater pedals, delivering both stability and performance on demanding trails while maintaining a sleek, appealing aesthetic.

Big kid forks, little kid bike

The Hellion X20 is fitted with 100mm of durable front suspension from RST Spex, offering the same adjustable features commonly seen on larger kids’ bikes. This suspension is built to handle whatever young riders put it through. Riders can customize their ride using adjustable air suspension, compression, and rebound settings to match their skill level, terrain, and weight for optimal performance.

Lightweight, adjustable brakes

Renowned for their lightweight design, precise modulation, and extensive adjustability, Shimano’s Deore MT500 brakes deliver consistently reliable performance. Their predictable braking response offers smooth control, reducing sudden stops, while the 160mm 6-bolt rotors provide powerful stopping force, giving confident riders the assurance to push their limits.

A SRAM GX drivetrain

The SRAM GX 1x10 drivetrain offers a durable, efficient, and adaptable solution that combines simplicity with high performance. Its low-maintenance design reduces weight without compromising functionality. Known for smooth and precise shifting, lightweight construction, and rugged reliability, SRAM GX remains a top choice among professional riders.

MTB wheels that go hard

These wheels are built to perform with fully sealed bearing hubs, tubeless compatibility, double-wall rims, and an optimized spoke count. Sealed bearings protect against mud, water, and corrosion, while double-wall rims provide extra strength for tackling rocks and roots with confidence. The optimized spoke pattern reduces the risk of wheel buckling, and thru axles simplify tire changes when needed—ensuring the wheels match the bike’s high-performance standards.
