Two decades ago, Enduro Bearings introduced MAX type bearings for bicycles, targeting challenges linked with mountain bike pivots. These MAX bearings amplify load capacity by 35-40% compared to standard radial bearings. They achieve this through a distinctive design, accommodating the maximum number of balls (full-complement) inserted into the bearing via customized ground slots in the races. Sporting deeper race grooves, they offer heightened lateral support, effectively counteracting the twisting and multi-directional forces inherent in mountain bike pivots.
This MAX-type, Double-Row, ABEC-3 bearing highlights deep-groove design races, Grade 10 balls, and full-contact, double-lip, labyrinth (LLU) seals, ensuring maximum protection against environmental elements while retaining a 90% fill of Almagard extra high-pressure grease. The double-row setup substantially diminishes flex in the suspension linkage while doubling the bearing contact area.
Enduro's bearing range encompasses high-carbon chromium steel, 440C stainless steel, ceramic-hybrid, and XD-15 with ceramic or stainless balls. Engineered with the deepest groove races to accommodate the largest possible balls, our bearings incorporate dual-lip seals navigating a micro-groove, creating a comprehensive labyrinth for superior protection against environmental elements.
