Enduro Bearings introduced MAX type bearings over two decades ago to tackle challenges in mountain bike pivots. These bearings offer 35-40% more load capacity than standard radial ones by utilizing a unique design, accommodating the maximum number of balls (full-complement) inserted via custom ground slots in the races. Deeper race grooves enhance lateral support, countering the twisting and multi-directional forces linked with mountain bike pivots.
This MAX-type, Double-Row, ABEC-3 bearing boasts deep-groove design races, Grade 10 balls, and full-contact, double-lip, labyrinth (LLU) seals, providing exceptional protection against the elements. Retaining a 90% fill of Almagard extra high-pressure grease, it significantly reduces flex in the suspension linkage, doubling the bearing contact area. Additionally, the double-extended inner race negates the need for extra spacers to connect suspension linkages.
Previously employed as a suspension pivot bearing by Turner Bikes, this bearing delivers reliable performance.
The Enduro line encompasses high-carbon chromium steel, 440C stainless steel, ceramic-hybrid, and XD-15 with ceramic or stainless balls. Designed with the deepest groove races to accommodate larger balls, our bearings feature dual-lip seals navigating a micro-groove, ensuring unparalleled protection against environmental elements.
