Enduro Bearings was the pioneer of MAX type bearings for bicycles, introduced over two decades ago to tackle challenges linked with mountain bike pivots. These MAX-type bearings offer a significant load capacity increase of 35-40% compared to standard radial bearings. Achieved through a specialized design, they house the maximum number of balls via a custom ground slot in the races, and deeper race grooves provide enhanced lateral support, ideal for countering the twisting and multi-directional forces inherent in mountain bike pivots. The ABEC-3 bearing features deep-groove design races with Grade 10 balls and full-contact, double-lip, labyrinth (LLU) seals, ensuring maximal protection against environmental elements, while retaining a 90% fill of Almagard extra high-pressure grease.
Various bicycle brands have used this bearing as a suspension pivot bearing.
The comprehensive Enduro bearing line-up comprises high-carbon chromium steel, 440C stainless steel, ceramic-hybrid, and XD-15 variants with ceramic or stainless balls. Each bearing is meticulously crafted with the deepest groove races possible to accommodate larger balls and includes dual-lip seals navigating micro-grooves, forming an extensive labyrinth for superior protection against diverse environmental conditions.
