Enduro Bearings was a trailblazer in developing MAX-type bearings for bicycles, an innovation that took place over two decades ago to tackle the challenges encountered with mountain bike pivots. These bearings offer a 35-40% increase in load capacity compared to standard radial bearings. This achievement comes from a specialized design that maximizes the ball count within the bearing, employing a customized slot in the races. The deep race grooves contribute to enhanced lateral support, counteracting the twisting and multi-directional forces characteristic of mountain bike pivots. This ABEC-3 bearing boasts deep-groove design races, Grade 10 balls, and double-lip, full-contact labyrinth (LLU) seals to shield against environmental elements while retaining a 90% fill of Almagard extra high-pressure grease. Its wider design significantly diminishes flex in the suspension linkage.
The Enduro line of bearings is offered in high-carbon chromium steel, 440C stainless steel, ceramic-hybrid, and XD-15 with ceramic or stainless balls. Our bearings are consistently engineered with the deepest groove races feasible to accommodate larger balls and encompass dual-lip seals operating within micro-grooves, ensuring an elaborate labyrinth for extended durability and superior safeguarding against various environmental factors.
