More than two decades ago, Enduro Bearings introduced MAX-type bearings for bicycles, specifically tailored to address the challenges linked with mountain bike pivots. These MAX-type bearings offer a 35-40% increase in load capacity compared to standard radial bearings, achieved through a unique design that maximizes the number of balls inserted into the bearing via a custom ground slot in the races. This extra ball count, combined with deep race grooves, provides enhanced lateral support, effectively managing the twisting and multi-directional forces encountered in mountain bike pivots.

Our Solid-Lube bearings boast an innovative solid lubricant-infused polymer replacing traditional grease inside the bearing, leaving no room for water or dirt accumulation. This MAX-type, Black-Oxide, ABEC-3 bearing features 52100 high-carbon chromium alloy races coupled with grade 10 Balls. All Enduro radial bearings are engineered with deeper grooves, accommodating the largest balls possible for maximum bearing contact area and significantly increased bearing lifespan. Crafted specifically for bicycle applications, our LLU/LLB seal configuration ensures optimal protection. A more protective grey LLU seal faces outward, minimizing contamination from water or dirt, while the lighter-contact black LLB seals facing inward retain the lubricant. Furthermore, the Black-Oxide/Magnetite coating elevates corrosion resistance, ensuring extended and worry-free performance.

This bearing size has been utilized as a suspension pivot bearing by several bicycle brands, including Orbea and Niner.
