6802 LLU MAX-E BO - MAX-Design, Black-Oxide, ABEC-3, Radial Suspension Bearing - 15 x 24 x 5/7mm

Over two decades ago, Enduro Bearings introduced MAX-type bearings tailored for bicycles, aiming to tackle the challenges in mountain bike pivots. These MAX-type bearings offer a remarkable 35-40% increase in load capacity compared to standard radial bearings. They achieve this by utilizing a specialized design that maximizes the number of balls inserted into the bearing through a custom ground slot in the races. The extra balls, combined with deep race grooves, provide extensive lateral support, effectively managing the twisting and multi-directional forces commonly encountered in mountain bike pivots.

The MAX-type, Black-Oxide, ABEC-3 bearing from Enduro features deep-groove design races, Grade 10 balls, and full-contact, double-lip, labyrinth (LLU) seals, ensuring maximum protection against the elements. Maintaining a 90% fill of Almagard extra high-pressure grease and sporting a Black-Oxide/Magnetite coating, it offers an additional layer of corrosion resistance and extended reliable performance. With an extended inner race that eliminates the need for extra spacers in connecting suspension linkages, this bearing proves beneficial for suspension applications.

Bicycle brands such as Giant and S-Tech have utilized this bearing as a suspension pivot bearing.

Enduro's extensive line of bearings encompasses variations in high-carbon chromium steel, 440C stainless steel, ceramic-hybrid, and XD-15 with ceramic or stainless balls. Each bearing is meticulously engineered with the deepest possible groove races to accommodate larger balls, complemented by dual-lip seals navigating a micro-groove, ensuring complete labyrinthine protection against external elements.
