Over two decades ago, Enduro Bearings introduced the MAX-type bearings specifically designed for bicycles to tackle the challenges associated with mountain bike pivots. MAX-type bearings offer a 35-40% increase in load capacity compared to standard radial bearings by employing a unique design where the maximum number of balls are inserted into the bearing via a custom ground slot in the races. The extra balls, along with the deep race grooves in these bearings, provide enhanced lateral support, effectively managing the twisting and multi-directional forces encountered in mountain bike pivots. This ABEC-3 bearing features deep-groove design races, Grade 10 balls, and full-contact, double-lip, labyrinth (LLU) seals for maximum protection against external elements while retaining a 90% fill of Almagard extra high-pressure grease inside.
This bearing has served as a suspension pivot bearing for various bicycle brands.
