These MAX-type bearings offer a substantial 35-40% increase in load capacity compared to standard radial bearings. Achieving this superiority involves a unique engineering concept where the bearing integrates the maximum number of balls through a specialized ground slot in the races. The added balls, in conjunction with the deep race grooves, significantly enhance lateral support, effectively counteracting the twisting and multi-directional forces commonly experienced in mountain bike pivots.
This particular ABEC-3 bearing showcases deep-groove design races, Grade 10 balls, and full-contact, double-lip, labyrinth (LLU) seals, ensuring optimum protection against environmental elements while retaining a 90% fill of Almagard extra high-pressure grease within.
Numerous prestigious bicycle brands, including Orbea, have adopted this bearing as a suspension pivot bearing.
