These MAX-type bearings offer a 35-40% increase in load capacity compared to standard radial bearings by employing a unique design that maximizes the number of balls inserted into the bearing through a specialized ground slot in the races. The added balls, coupled with deep race grooves, provide exceptional lateral support to counter the twisting and multi-directional forces experienced in mountain bike pivots. The MAX-type, Black-Oxide, ABEC-3 bearing boasts deep-groove design races, Grade 10 balls, and full-contact, double-lip, labyrinth (LLU) seals, ensuring maximum defense against environmental elements. It retains a 90% fill of Almagard extra high-pressure grease and features a Black-Oxide/Magnetite coating for heightened corrosion resistance and prolonged performance without worries.

This bearing size has been widely utilized as a suspension pivot bearing by several renowned bicycle brands, including Trek and Orbea.
