6900 LLU MAX BOSL - Solid-Lube, Black-Oxide, MAX-Design, ABEC-3 Radial Suspension Bearing - 10 x 22 x 6mm
Enduro Bearings pioneered MAX-type bearings over two decades ago to meet the challenges linked with mountain bike pivots. These MAX bearings offer 35-40% greater load capacity compared to standard radial bearings, achieved through a distinctive design that incorporates the maximum number of balls (full-complement) inserted into the bearing via a custom ground slot in the races. The presence of additional balls, along with deep race grooves, ensures amplified lateral support to counter the twisting and multi-directional forces prevalent in mountain bike pivots. This Black-Oxide, ABEC-3 MAX-type bearing boasts deep-groove design races, Grade 10 balls, and full-contact, double-lip, labyrinth (LLU) seals, providing optimal protection against environmental elements. It retains a 90% fill of Almagard extra high-pressure grease inside, complemented by a Black-Oxide/Magnetite coating that enhances corrosion resistance and delivers extended worry-free performance.
This particular bearing has been utilized as a suspension pivot bearing by several prominent bicycle brands, including Santa Cruz, Transition, and Rocky Mountain.
The Enduro line of bearings is available in high-carbon chromium steel, 440C stainless steel, ceramic-hybrid, and XD-15 with Ceramic or Stainless Balls. Our bearings are consistently engineered with the deepest groove races feasible to accommodate the largest balls and feature dual-lip seals that navigate in micro-grooves, forming a complete labyrinth, and ensuring superior protection against environmental elements.
