6900 LLU MAX-E - MAX-Design, Extended Inner Race, ABEC-3, Radial Suspension Bearing - 10 x 22 x 6/9mm
Enduro bearings introduced MAX-type bearings more than two decades ago, specifically designed for bicycles to tackle the challenges encountered with mountain bike pivots. These MAX-type bearings outperform standard radial bearings by offering a remarkable 35-40% increase in load capacity. They achieve this by employing a unique design that maximizes the insertion of balls into the bearing. This surplus of balls, in conjunction with the deep race grooves, delivers exceptional lateral support, crucial for handling the twisting and multi-directional forces inherent in mountain bike pivots.
The ABEC-3 bearing boasts deep-groove design races, and Grade 10 balls, and incorporates full-contact, double-lip, labyrinth (LLU) seals. These seals serve to shield the bearing from external elements while retaining an impressive 90% fill of Almagard extra high-pressure grease, ensuring optimal performance. Notably, this bearing showcases an extended inner race, eliminating the necessity for additional spacers to connect suspension linkages.
Renowned bicycle brands like Pivot have adopted this bearing as a pivotal component in their suspension systems.
The Enduro range of bearings is available in various materials including high-carbon chromium steel, 440C stainless steel, ceramic-hybrid, and XD-15 with either ceramic or stainless balls. Each of our bearings is meticulously engineered with deep-groove races to accommodate larger balls, and they feature dual-lip seals that navigate within micro-grooves, forming a comprehensive labyrinth for superior protection against external elements.
