6903 LLU MAX BOSL - Solid-Lube, Black-Oxide, MAX-Design, ABEC-3, Radial Suspension Bearing - 17 x 30 x 7mm
Enduro Bearings introduced MAX-type bearings for bicycles over two decades ago, aiming to tackle the challenges associated with mountain bike pivots. MAX-type bearings offer a remarkable 35-40% increase in load capacity compared to standard radial bearings. Achieving this involves a special design, inserting the maximum number of balls into the bearing via a custom ground slot in the races. These additional balls, combined with deep race grooves, provide enhanced lateral support, effectively handling the twisting and multi-directional forces inherent in mountain bike pivots.
The MAX-type, Black-Oxide, ABEC-3 bearing in this series boasts deep-groove design races, Grade 10 balls, and full-contact, double-lip, labyrinth (LLU) seals, ensuring maximum protection against the elements. Maintaining a 90% fill of Almagard extra high-pressure grease inside, the bearing also features a Black-Oxide/Magnetite coating for increased corrosion resistance and prolonged performance.
Several bicycle brands have incorporated this bearing as a crucial suspension pivot component.
Enduro's line of bearings includes options in high-carbon chromium steel, 440C stainless steel, ceramic-hybrid, and XD-15 with ceramic or stainless balls. Our bearings are consistently engineered with the deepest possible groove races to accommodate larger balls, featuring dual-lip seals gliding within micro-grooves, establishing a complete labyrinth for superior protection against environmental elements.
