Over two decades ago, Enduro bearings revolutionized cycling with the introduction of MAX-type bearings, specifically engineered for the rigours of mountain bike pivots. These MAX-type bearings elevate load capacity by 35-40% compared to standard radial bearings. Their unique design inserts the maximum number of balls into the bearing, augmented by deep race grooves. This configuration offers exceptional lateral support, effectively countering the twisting and multi-directional forces synonymous with mountain bike pivots. Featuring ABEC-3 specifications, these bearings boast deep-groove design races housing Grade 10 balls and a 90% fill of Almagard extra high-pressure grease. When correctly installed and adjusted, Enduro Angular Contact (A/C) bearings ensure all bearing balls engage, distributing force across a larger surface area. This minimizes friction, curtails wear, and substantially extends bearing longevity.
Designed for compatibility with grease injection systems, the single seal specification aligns perfectly with linkages found on most Santa Cruz bikes.
Enduro's extensive line of bearings spans high-carbon chromium steel, 440C stainless steel, ceramic-hybrid, and XD-15 options with ceramic or stainless balls. Each bearing is meticulously crafted with the deepest groove races feasible, accommodating the largest balls.
