This grade happens to be the priciest within the 440 series and demands multiple rounds of heat treatment and cryogenic treatment to achieve its outstanding mechanical properties. Despite having a 20% lower load capacity and slightly softer characteristics compared to our standard 52100 chromium steel prevalent in most of our bearings, stainless steel serves as a superb alternative, especially in wet conditions, frequent bike washes, or environments prone to sweat. To further fortify these bearings against elements, Enduro Bearings utilizes LLB-type seals and CRC Marine Grease.
