This ABEC-5 ceramic-hybrid bearing offers deep-groove 52100 high-carbon chromium alloy races combined with grade 5 silicon-nitride ceramic balls. It features dual-lip labyrinth (LLB) seals that protect against contaminants and retain a 90% fill of Kluber NBU52 ultra-smooth, water-resistant grease. The Si3N4 ceramic balls minimize wear and extend bearing lifespan by preventing steel-to-steel contact inside the bearing.
This radial bearing is commonly utilized as a hub bearing for certain older quick-release hub models and can also function as a pivot bearing, though the MAX-type variant is more suitable for suspension applications. The Enduro series offers bearings made from high-carbon chromium steel, 440C stainless steel, ceramic-hybrid, and XD-15 materials with either ceramic or stainless steel balls. Each bearing is designed with the deepest possible groove races to fit the largest balls and includes dual-lip seals seated in a micro-groove, forming a complete labyrinth that delivers exceptional protection from environmental contaminants.
