This Ceramic-Hybrid Radial Bottom Bracket Bearing features 52100 high-carbon chromium steel races paired with Grade 5 Silicon-Nitride (Si₃N₄) ceramic balls, packed with 90% high-pressure, waterproof grease. The ceramic balls reduce steel-on-steel contact, minimizing wear and extending bearing life.
This bearing is most commonly used as a direct replacement for Shimano external cup bottom brackets when utilizing the plastic Shimano bearing insert. For applications where you want to avoid the plastic insert, the MR 2437 bearing is the appropriate choice.
