This ABEC-5 ceramic hybrid bearing incorporates deep-groove 52100 high-carbon chromium steel races combined with grade 5 silicon nitride ceramic balls. It is sealed with dual-lip labyrinth (LLB) seals to protect against contaminants and retain 90% fill of Kluber NBU52, a high-performance waterproof grease. The Si3N4 ceramic balls minimize wear and extend bearing life by preventing metal-to-metal contact inside the bearing.
This radial bearing has been utilized as both a pedal bearing and a hub bearing in certain full suspension designs; however, the MAX-type version of this bearing is more appropriate for pivot applications.
The Enduro bearing range includes options in high-carbon chromium steel, 440C stainless steel, ceramic hybrid, and XD-15 with either ceramic or stainless steel balls. These bearings are precisely engineered with the deepest possible groove races to fit the largest balls, enhancing load capacity and durability. They also feature dual-lip seals that engage with a micro-groove, forming a complete labyrinth seal for exceptional protection against dirt, moisture, and other contaminants.
