This ABEC-5 ceramic-hybrid bearing incorporates deep-groove races made from 52100 high-carbon chromium alloy, combined with grade 5 silicon-nitride ceramic balls. It includes dual seals to protect against external contaminants and retain 90% filled Kluber NBU52, a waterproof, ultra-smooth grease. The Si3N4 ceramic balls minimize bearing wear and extend service life by preventing steel-to-steel contact inside the bearing.
This radial bearing has commonly served as both a hub and pivot bearing, although the MAX-type variant is more optimally designed for suspension applications.
The Enduro bearing series offers options in high-carbon chromium steel, 440C stainless steel, ceramic-hybrid, and XD-15 configurations with ceramic or stainless steel balls.
