This bearing is designed with ABEC-5, Ceramic-hybrid materials and features a deep-groove design with 52100 High-Carbon chromium alloy races. The grade 5 Silicon-Nitride Ceramic balls, dual-lip labyrinth (LLB) seals and 90% fill of Mobilux NGLI 2 high pressure synthetic grease provide protection against external elements and help to extend the bearing's lifespan. The use of Si3N4 ceramic balls also reduces wear and eliminates steel on steel contact, further increasing the durability of the bearing.
This radial bearing is commonly employed as a hub bearing, as well as a bottom bracket bearing for certain square taper BBs. It can also function as a pivot bearing, although the MAX-type variation of this bearing is more suitable for suspension applications.
The Enduro line of bearings includes high-carbon chromium steel, 440C stainless steel, and ceramic-hybrid options with either ceramic or stainless balls. Expertly engineered with deep groove races to fit larger balls, these bearings also feature dual-lip seals that ride in a micro-groove, forming a complete labyrinth for optimal protection against all elements.
