Enduro Zero is a ceramic-hybrid radial bearing with ABEC-5 precision, featuring races made from black-oxide treated 52100 high-carbon chromium steel and Grade 5 silicon-nitride ceramic balls. It includes dual-lip labyrinth seals (LLB) designed to protect against external contaminants and retain 90% filled Mobilux NGLI 2 high-pressure waterproof synthetic grease. The Si3N4 ceramic balls minimize wear by preventing steel-to-steel contact, enhancing bearing longevity. Additionally, the black oxide and magnetite treatment on the races offers superior corrosion resistance for reliable, long-lasting operation.
This radial bearing is commonly utilized as a hub bearing and as a bottom bracket bearing for certain older square taper bottom brackets. It can also function as a pivot bearing, although the MAX-type variant is more appropriate for suspension applications. Frequently, it serves as a replacement for 6903-marked bearings found in front hubs from DT Swiss, Giant, and Bontrager, despite having an inner diameter that is 1mm larger than the standard 6903 bearing.
The Enduro bearing lineup offers options in high-carbon chromium steel, 440C stainless steel, ceramic-hybrid, and XD-15 with either ceramic or stainless steel balls. Each bearing is designed with the deepest groove races available to fit the largest ball sizes, enhancing durability and performance. They also feature dual-lip seals running in a precisely engineered micro-groove, forming a complete labyrinth seal system that delivers exceptional protection against dirt, moisture, and other contaminants.
