An Enduro Bearings exclusive, XD-15 Ceramic-Hybrid bearings combine corrosion-proof, cryogenically treated nitrogen steel races with Grade 3 Silicon Nitride ceramic balls, engineered through a proprietary process to deliver the highest performance. Deep-groove raceways accommodate the largest possible Grade 3 ceramic balls, increasing contact area for improved durability, performance, and longevity. Dual-lip labyrinth (LLB) seals protect against contaminants and retain 90% fill of Kluber NBU52 grease, which runs smoother over time and resists being washed out.
The standout feature of XD-15 bearings is that they improve with use. As the bearings wear in, the super-hard ceramic balls polish the races, making them even smoother. Unlike other ceramic-hybrid bearings that lose performance over time, Enduro XD-15 bearings maintain their initial advantages and become faster and smoother the more they’re used. This bearing size is primarily used in hubs.
Enduro bearings are available in high-carbon chromium steel, 440C stainless steel, ceramic-hybrid, and XD-15 with ceramic or stainless balls. All bearings feature the deepest groove races possible to accommodate the largest balls, combined with dual-lip seals riding in a micro-groove to form a full labyrinth, offering superior protection against the elements.
