Enduro Bearings introduced MAX bearings for bicycles 20 years ago to address mountain bike pivot challenges. MAX bearings have 35-40% higher load capacity than standard radial bearings with a design that maximizes the number of balls inserted into a custom ground slot in the races. These bearings also have deep race grooves for better lateral support against twisting and multi-directional forces. This ABEC-3 bearing has deep-groove races, Grade 10 balls, and full-contact double-lip labyrinth (LLU) seals for superior protection against the elements, while maintaining 90% fill of Almagard extra high pressure grease.
This bearing has been utilized as a suspension pivot bearing by various bicycle manufacturers, such as Santa Cruz.
The Enduro bearing line offers various materials including high-carbon chromium steel, 440C stainless steel, and ceramic-hybrid with XD-15 and ceramic or stainless balls. Our bearings are designed with deep groove races to accommodate larger balls and feature dual-lip seals and a micro-groove labyrinth to provide optimal protection against external elements.
