This radial bearing is made of 440C stainless steel alloy races and Grade 10 balls with LLB seals. It has a 90% fill of high pressure water proof grease, making it able to withstand daily use and exposure to the elements. This bearing is commonly used as a hub bearing in quick-release hub designs, and can also serve as a pivot bearing, though the MAX-type version is more suitable for suspension use.

Enduro utilizes exclusively 440C stainless steel balls and races, ensuring exceptional longevity and unparalleled resistance to corrosion in potentially less-than-ideal environments. With its elevated levels of strength, hardness, and wear resistance, 440C is the premier choice among all 440-series stainless alloys with high carbon content. However, this superior stainless steel also comes at a higher cost and requires multiple rounds of heat and cryogenic treatment to reach its optimal mechanical properties. While stainless steel has a lower load capacity and is marginally softer compared to our standard 52100 chromium steel typically used in our bearings, it serves as an ideal alternative in wet conditions, frequent bike washes, or where sweat may be a concern.
The Enduro brand offers high-quality bearings made from high-carbon chromium steel, 440C stainless steel, ceramic-hybrid, and XD-15 with either ceramic or stainless balls. Our bearings are designed with deep groove races to fit large balls and are equipped with dual-lip seals that ride in a micro-groove for maximum protection against the elements.
