This radial bearing is typically utilized as a hub bearing in older quick-release hub models, as well as in bike motors and indoor trainers.

Not all stainless steel is created equal.

Enduro utilizes 440C stainless steel balls and races, known for their exceptional durability and resistance to corrosion in challenging environments. Offering the highest strength, hardness, and wear resistance among 440-series alloys, 440C is the most expensive and requires multiple rounds of heat and cryogenic treatment to achieve its superior mechanical properties. While stainless steel has a 20% lower load capacity and is slightly softer than the standard 52100 chromium steel used in most bearings, it is a valuable option for wet conditions, frequent bike washing, or areas prone to sweat.

Enduro offers a range of bearing options including high-carbon chromium steel, 440C stainless steel, ceramic-hybrid, and XD-15 with ceramic or stainless balls. Our bearings are designed with deep groove races and dual-lip seals for maximum protection against the elements. They are available in a variety of sizes to accommodate different ball sizes.
