This radial bearing is constructed with 440C stainless steel alloy races and Grade 10 balls, equipped with dual seals and filled to 90% with Mobil XHP 222 high-pressure waterproof grease. It is designed to endure rigorous daily use and harsh environmental conditions. Its unique size makes it specifically suitable as a bottom bracket bearing for Look 795, 695, 696, and Zed cranksets.
Not all stainless steel is created equal.
Enduro exclusively utilizes 440C stainless steel balls and races to ensure extended durability and exceptional corrosion resistance, even in challenging environments. This alloy, with its high carbon content, offers the greatest strength, hardness, and wear resistance among the 440-series stainless steels. Achieving these superior mechanical properties involves multiple heat and cryogenic treatments. While stainless steel bearings have about 20% lower load capacity and are slightly softer than the standard 52100 chromium steel bearings, they provide an excellent solution for wet conditions, frequent bike washing, or exposure to sweat.
