This radial bearing includes stainless steel alloy races and Grade 10 balls, along with dual-seals and 90% fill of Mobil XHP 222 high pressure water proof grease, providing durability against daily wear and tear and exposure to harsh environmental conditions.
This radial bearing is typically utilized as a hub bearing and bottom bracket bearing for certain older square taper BBs. It can also serve as a pivot bearing, although the MAX-type variation of this bearing is more suitable for suspension applications.

This choice ensures both a long lifespan and exceptional resistance to corrosion in even sub-optimal environments. With the highest strength, hardness, and wear resistance among the standard 440-series alloys, 440C stainless steel does come with its price- it's the most expensive option and requires multiple rounds of heat and cryogenic treatment to achieve its exceptional mechanical properties. Despite having 20% less load capacity and being slightly softer than the industry standard 52100 chromium steel found in most bearings, stainless steel still serves as a reliable substitute in wet conditions, with frequent bike washings, or when dealing with sweat.
Choose from a variety of Enduro bearings made with high-quality materials such as high-carbon chromium steel, 440C stainless steel, ceramic-hybrid, and XD-15 with ceramic or stainless balls. Each bearing is expertly designed with deep groove races to fit larger balls and is equipped with dual-lip seals that ride in a micro-groove, creating a full labyrinth for exceptional protection against the elements.
