Ceramic oversized pulley systems effectively minimize friction generated by clutch derailleurs. The Kolossos—aptly named after the Greek term for statues that exceed their subject's original dimensions—provides an engineering solution perfectly suited for enlarged derailleur cage applications.
Elevate your drivetrain by upgrading to a precision-engineered ceramic 12-tooth upper and 19-tooth lower pulley configuration, mounted on an industry-leading rigid cage structure. This system delivers not only superior friction reduction but also exceptional shifting precision and optimal chain management. With Kogel Bearings' established expertise in off-road applications, this component is engineered specifically to withstand demanding gravel conditions.
Compatability: This model is built for the GRX 2X (RD-RX810) and Ultegra RX800 series derailleurs. This includes mechanical and Di2.
This cage can also be installed on GRX 1x (RD-RX812) derailleur's it will shift to shift through the entire range on an 11-42 cassette, but it will leave a large spacing between the top pulley and the smaller cogs. Expect shifting to be less snappy in these three gears in a 1x setup.
Please note** Installing this oversized derailleur cage typically requires replacing your chain to accommodate the larger pulleys. Full installation instructions can be found here
