For optimal protection, position the chest protector centrally along the sternum’s vertical line. The back protector should align with the spine’s center, with its widest section covering the scapulae and its lower edge resting near the base of the spine for comfort. Elbow and forearm protectors must be placed centrally over the elbow and along the ulna bone extending toward the little finger. Shoulder protectors should be positioned from midway between the shoulder and neck down onto the upper arm, either symmetrically or slightly forward for increased frontal protection.

Follow these expert tips for properly fitting your gear: Compression Base Layer: Unzip the garment, slip it on, and zip it closed, ensuring the elbow and shoulder guards are correctly aligned as previously detailed. Chest Protector: Release the waist straps, place the protector over your head with the shorter chest plate at the front, then thread the straps through the molded locks on each side and tighten for a secure fit. When used with a safety helmet and Leatt Neck Brace, the chest protector should permit full head and neck movement—looking up, down, and side-to-side. The protector, neck brace, and helmet should only touch at the extremes of these movements. Always verify these motions are possible before starting your ride.
