Legion designed the Ice Vortex brake pads to enhance heat dissipation during braking, resulting in improved braking efficiency and extended pad durability.
This is achieved by using:
An over-sized alloy backing plate to increase the surface area conducting heat away from the pad
Protruding Pyramid fins to funnel air flow over the backing plate increasing heat transfer
Vortex “V” fins which speed up cooling by constantly replacing the heated air in contact with the pad
For riders, maintaining lower brake pad temperatures allows for stronger and longer braking with less risk of brake fade. Additionally, cooler pads increase their lifespan and minimize noise during use.
