Named after the iron-tipped spear of the Zulu people, the Maxxis Assegai tyre pays homage to South African heritage. Designed by native Greg Minnaar, it's primed for mountainous battles. The tall knobs penetrate dust and loam for traction and provide stability on wet roots and rocks. Unlike other tyres tailored to specific conditions, the Assegai is engineered for speed across all terrains.
The tubeless tyre improves traction and lowers the rolling resistance, as it has the ability to run on lower air pressure.
EXO protection provides an extremely cut-resistant and abrasion-resistant material added to the sidewalls of select mountain tyres. This densely woven fabric is also lightweight and highly flexible, ensuring that the performance of the tyre remains unaffected.
