The Michelin DH Mud is a specialized tire specifically designed for conquering muddy downhill tracks.

More grip: This tire is designed for muddy conditions, with a unique tread pattern that provides excellent grip and self-cleaning abilities. It also offers improved braking and angled grip on soft terrain, thanks to its twisted tread design, Magi-X DH rubber compound, and DownHill Shield casing. The addition of Cuttable Blocks technology allows for adaptability to both wet and dry terrain without sacrificing performance.

More protection: Benefit from increased control at low pressure with the Michelin DH Mud, featuring a double-reinforced Down Hill Shield casing and puncture-resistant reinforcement. The Bead to bead double defense 4xPly also improves lateral stiffness while increasing sidewall robustness.

Other Technology: This product features Pinch Protection technology that effectively mitigates the impact of pinch flats by absorbing their energy.

KEY FEATURES
RUBBERS : Obtain the optimal performance with Michelin DH Mud, designed with expert precision to find the perfect balance between grip, efficiency, and wear. Varying levels of shore hardness are produced, with the index value indicating the level of gum softness - a lower index value means a softer gum, while a higher index value means a harder gum.

BI-COMPOUND: The Michelin DH Mud features Magi-X-DH, a rubber compound specially formulated for Downhill riding. This innovative technology offers unparalleled levels of grip in both wet and dry conditions, regardless of temperature. In fact, it's the top performer in Michelin's range when it comes to grip.

CASING-REINFORCEMENTS : The threads that make up a tyre's casing vary in thickness depending on its range, resulting in a robust, flexible, efficient, and lightweight construction. A higher thread count creates a lighter tyre due to the finer threads, while a lower thread count results in a stronger tyre due to the thicker threads. The TPI (Threads Per Inch) measurement determines the density of threads per inch.
Thanks to its additional protective ply running from one bead to the other, Michelin SHIELD CASING improves resistance to external attack on the sidewalls and reduces punctures due to impact or pinching.
