The BBT-9 tool is specifically designed for the installation and removal of external bearing crankset bottom brackets. One end of the tool securely engages the 16 notches on the bottom bracket cups, while the other end engages the 8 internal splines on the crank arm adjustment cap. With an outside diameter of approximately 44mm, the BBT-9 is compatible with cups and lockrings that have 16 external notches.
