The CC-3.2 is a specialized tool that accurately measures the wear and tear of a bike chain. It is designed to detect when the chain has stretched beyond 0.5% and 0.75%, which is the recommended replacement point by most manufacturers. For 9 and 10-speed chains, replacement is necessary when the gauge fits flat against the chain at the 0.75% mark. For 11 and 12-speed chains, replacement is needed once the 0.5% mark on the gauge lines up. The CC-3.2 is known for its precision, length, and permanent measurement labels.
