The Angel™ Urban DT is ideal for city commuting and everyday urban riding. It delivers excellent performance with a durable casing designed to handle various road surfaces. Incorporating the HyperBELT casing and a tread pattern inspired by the Pirelli Angel™ Scooter, this tire ensures enhanced safety and a smoother ride, even in wet conditions. A 5mm rubber layer provides superior puncture protection, making it perfect for the demands of urban cycling. Certified to ECE-R75 and ECE-R88 standards, the Angel™ DT Urban is compatible with both traditional and electric bikes.
Tread: The Angel™ DT Urban features a design inspired by the highly successful Pirelli Angel™ Scooter motorcycle tire. This design enhances the tire’s agility and adaptability, allowing it to effectively navigate the challenges encountered in contemporary urban environments.
Compound: The PRO Compound Urban utilizes a unique silica-based rubber formula that optimizes both grip and durability, essential qualities for reliable performance in all urban cycling conditions.
The Angel™ Urban series complies with the ECE-R75 certification, ensuring the tires meet European standards for speed e-bikes capable of reaching up to 50 km/h (31 mph). Additionally, the reflective stripe adheres to ECE-R88 regulations, guaranteeing that the reflective bands produce adequate visibility even from challenging angles.
Carcass:
The HyperBELT structure is engineered specifically for urban cycling, prioritizing puncture resistance. Its 60tpi nylon casing shields the tire from cuts, while an additional 5mm rubber layer provides enhanced defense against external hazards like nails and thorns. This robust and long-lasting design effectively manages the typical challenges encountered in city riding.
