We offer thru axles specifically designed for BOB Trailers, the starting point of The Robert Axle Project. Having used BOB Trailers since 1999, we appreciate their versatility for bike tours, trail work, and errands. Many modern bikes feature a 12mm thru axle that connects the rear wheel to the frame, enhancing ride quality with increased strength, safety, rigidity, and responsiveness. When we realized our new mountain bikes didn’t support attaching BOB trailers, we developed our own solution, marking the beginning of The Robert Axle Project.
Robert Axles for BOB Trailers are precisely designed to connect your trusted BOB Trailer to bikes equipped with thru-axles. Utilize our Axle Finder to select the correct thru-axle for your bike. Simply transfer the “bobbins” from your original BOB quick release to the Robert Axle, secure your trailer, and you’re ready to ride.
Topeak trailers:
Sorry, we don’t have a solution for the Topeak trailer. It is a unique connection system and we just haven’t seen enough of them to warrant a production run of multiple sizes of axles.
Burly CoHo trailers:
We do not make axles for Burley COHO trailers.
