As dedicated BOB Trailer enthusiasts since 1999, we often embark on bike tours, trail work, or errands with our BOB trailer in tow. Modern bikes commonly feature a 12mm thru axle securing the rear wheel to the frame, enhancing ride quality with greater strength, safety, stiffness, and responsiveness. When we discovered our new mountain bikes lacked compatibility with BOB trailers, we took matters into our own hands, creating the solution that launched The Robert Axle Project.
Robert Axles for BOB Trailers are precisely designed to connect your trusted BOB Trailer to bikes fitted with thru-axles. Utilize our Axle Finder to select the thru-axle tailored for your specific bike model. Simply transfer the “bobbins” from your original BOB quick release onto the Robert Axle, secure your trailer, and you’re ready to ride.
Topeak trailers:
Sorry, we don’t have a solution for the Topeak trailer. It is a unique connection system and we just haven’t seen enough of them to warrant a production run of multiple sizes of axles.
Burly CoHo trailers:
We do not make axles for Burley COHO trailers.
