We offer thru axles specifically designed for BOB Trailers, the origin of The Robert Axle Project. As longtime BOB trailer users since 1999, we appreciate taking our trailer on bike tours, trail work, or daily errands. Modern bikes often feature a 12mm thru axle securing the rear wheel, enhancing strength, safety, rigidity, and responsiveness. When we realized our BOB trailers weren't compatible with these newer mountain bikes, we developed a solution ourselves—thus launching The Robert Axle Project.
The Robert Axles for BOB Trailers are specifically engineered to attach the proven BOB Trailer to your thru-axle equipped bike. Use our Axle Finder to choose the thru-axle designed for your bike. Then just add the “bobbins” from your stock BOB quick release to your Robert Axle, attach your trailer, and go.
Topeak trailers: Sorry, wedon’thave a solution for the Topeak trailer. It is a unique connection system and we just haven’t seen enough of them to warrant a production run of multiple sizes of axles.
Burly CoHo trailers: We donotmake axles for Burley COHO trailers.
