As long-time BOB Trailer enthusiasts since 1999, we appreciate the convenience of attaching our trailers for bike tours, trail maintenance, or errands. Modern bikes often feature 12mm thru axles connecting the rear wheel to the frame, enhancing ride quality by increasing strength, safety, stiffness, and responsiveness. When our new mountain bikes lacked compatibility with BOB trailers, we developed a custom solution—thus starting The Robert Axle Project.
Robert Axles for BOB Trailers are precisely designed to connect your trusted BOB Trailer to bikes with thru-axles. Use our Axle Finder tool to select the correct thru-axle for your bike model. Simply transfer the "bobbins" from your original BOB quick release to the Robert Axle, attach your trailer, and you're ready to ride.
Topeak trailers:
sorry, we don’t have a solution for the Topeak trailer. It is a unique connection system and we just haven’t seen enough of them to warrant a production run of multiple sizes of axles.
Burly CoHo trailers:
We do not make axles for Burley COHO trailers.
