Following extensive mountain biking experience with bulky thru-axle handles that often hit trail obstacles, we developed an improved solution. The Lightning Bolt-On thru axles provide a premium, streamlined, and lightweight alternative to oversized handles. They come in various sizes to accommodate both front and rear wheels on all thru-axle compatible bikes..
The Lightning front and rear Bolt-On axles deliver a stronger, more durable, and lighter alternative to standard thru-axles with a sleek, low-profile design that eliminates bulky handles and reduces wind drag. Engineered for strength and weight savings, these axles are internally bored and precisely manufactured in the USA using aerospace-grade materials and CNC machining for exceptional tolerances. Installation is simple with a standard 6 mm hex wrench, and the secure fit prevents loosening during rides.
KEY FEATURES
- The diameter of this axle is 12 mm and the true length of the axle shaft is 123 mm. A 6 mm tapered spacer is included for lengths or 123 mm or 117 mm. Please note:
- Thru-axle lengths do not equal hub standards. An axle has to be longer than the hub to fit in the frame. A 15×100 hub does not equal a 100 mm long axle.
- This axle has a 1.0 mm thread pitch.
- Weight: 32 grams
- The axle is precision CNC machined in the USA from 7075 aluminum and hard anodized for rugged durability. Our axles are built to the tightest standards in the industry.
- No special tools required. Design allows for installation or wheel removal using your standard 6mm hex wrench.
- Designed, built and quality tested in the USA. Proven around the world.
