The Trainer Axle by Robert Axle Project is engineered to seamlessly connect your thru axle bike to a wide range of wheel-on trainers, including 1up, Blackburn, Cyclops, Kinetic, Tacx, Wahoo, and more. It’s precisely crafted to fit your bike’s thru axle, reducing the need for spacers or additional components. This results in a streamlined, reliable axle that enhances your training experience, helping you prepare efficiently and stay race-ready throughout the season.
This axle is specific to bikes with FOCUS R.A.T. thru axles and 12×142 or Boost hub spacing. Includes a replacement R.A.T. nut with the Trainer Axle.
This Trainer Axle is crafted to connect your high-performance bike to a variety of popular wheel-on trainers, including 1up, Blackburn, Cyclops, Kinetic, Tacx, and Wahoo. It is not compatible with direct-drive trainers. Precision and fit are paramount—our axle matches or exceeds the fit of your bike’s original thru-axle. Installation is straightforward using a standard 5 mm hex key, the same tool you carry on every ride. When training ends, simply detach the drive side axle end to transition effortlessly from trainer to road. Engineered for seamless use both indoors and outdoors.
Important: Before you order, make sure your specific trainer will accommodate the width of your modern thru-axle equipped bike. Measure your trainer at the widest setting and measure the outside width of your bike frame. Our trainer axle ends will extend 15 mm past your frame on each side.
